Beverly Spaulding

Beverly Helen Spaulding (1930-2009), 79, passed away December 20, 2009 in Keller, Texas, surrounded by family. A longtime resident of Toledo and Sylvania, Ohio, Beverly was a beloved wife, loving mother, accomplished artist, world traveler and lifelong volunteer. In addition to her selfless efforts for the Manor House and the Flower Hospital Moon Flower Ball, her dedication helped ensure the protection of Wildwood Preserve, a prairie community and essential wildlife refuge that today is among the most visited parks in Ohio. She thoroughly enjoyed her career at Whitmer High School in the Audio Visual Department, where she was known for her gracious smile and kind spirit. She will be lovingly remembered by her entire family, including her husband and best friend of 59 years, Marshal L. Spaulding of Keller; sons, Marc Spaulding and wife Donna (Strafford, NH), Britt Spaulding and wife Mary (Austin, TX) and Scott Spaulding and wife Cheri (Bowling Green, OH); daughter, Kyle Spaulding (Keller, TX); grandchildren, Michael Spaulding, Taylor Spaulding, Evan Spaulding, Brittany Anderson, Lauren Spaulding, Marshal Spaulding, Austin Burtnett and Kendall Burtnett; and uncle, William Ferrero. She touched the hearts of all she met; we are truly blessed to have known her. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to: The Manor House, Wildwood Preserve, 5100 West Central Avenue, Toledo, Ohio 43615. Your journey here has ended, And a new one has begun; And we are left here to carry on, And do what must be done. There are no words or phrases, That say just how much you meant; There's too much love to be expressed, In poem and sentiment. For you touched so many people's hearts - You certainly touched mine. It was a blessing just to walk with you - If even for a short time. You left behind a legacy of hope and strength and love; And you surely must be smiling as you look down from above, To see how much you accomplished - all the difference that you made. Your contributions were vast; and your part was so well-played.
