Billy “B. R.” Ramsay Obituary - Visitation & Funeral Information

FORT WORTH -- Billy Ray "B.R." Ramsay, 77, a retired aircraft mechanic, died Thursday, Feb. 2, 2006, at a local care facility. ?? Funeral: 10 a.m. Monday in Lucas Sylvania Chapel. Jim Hackney and David Rogers will officiate. Burial: 3 p.m. in Smith Spring's Cemetery, four miles north of Stephenville on Highway 377. Visitation: 1 to 7 p.m. Sunday at Lucas Funeral Home, with the family present 4 to 7 p.m. ?? Memorials: Friends who desire are respectfully invited to make a memorial contribution in his honor to Heritage Church of Christ Building Fund, 4201 Heritage Trace Parkway, Keller, Texas 76248, or to Community Hospice, 1111 Summit Ave., Fort Worth, Texas 76102. ??? Bill was a longtime member of Riverside Church of Christ, later of Midtown Church of Christ, and was currently a member of Heritage Church of Christ. He was in the U.S. Army Air Force, serving 1947 to 1950. He worked for Broadie Aircraft at Meacham Field for 47 years. He enjoyed photography, specializing in weddings. A quiet and reserved person, he loved helping people. ??? Survivors: Wife, Martha Hook Ramsay of Fort Worth; son, Ted Ramsay and wife, Pam, of Weatherford; daughter, Becky Brawner and husband, Jim, of Fort Worth; sisters, Swan Snow of Denver, Colo., and Helen Walker of Houston; brother-in-law, John Richter of Austin; grandchildren, Tamara Thomas and husband, Tony, Josh Brawner and wife, Leslie, Andrea Ramsay, Luke Brawner and friend, Lacie Grainger, Aaron Ramsay and Caleb Ramsay; and great-grandchildren, Triston and Davan Brawner.
