July 13, 1915 - April 9, 2006

???DALLAS -- Florence Kossover Schwartz, 90, a loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and great-great-grandmother, died peacefully Tuesday morning, May 9, 2006. ??? Funeral: 2 p.m. Wednesday in Kornbleet Memorial Cemetery Chapel, 411 N. University Drive, Fort Worth. Rabbi Adam Raskin of Congregation Beth Torah, Dallas, and Javier Smolarz, ritual director of Congregation Ahavath Sholom, will officiate. Burial: Following committal prayers, Florence will be laid to rest next to her husband, Sam, in Ahavath Sholom Cemetery. Minyan services will be held in Dallas at the residence of Danny and Marlene Sternberg. ??? Bearers of her casket will be Steve Garman, Ric Weinstein, Doug Hogan, Peter Hogan, Larry Darrow, Todd Sternberg and David Dwortz. ??? Memorials: Mrs. Schwartz's family suggests that, in lieu of flowers, friends may honor her name by making contributions to a charity of choice. ??? A native of Fort Worth, Florence Kossover was born July 13, 1915, the daughter of Louis and Annie Gerson Schuster Kossover. She was married to Sam Schwartz, a marriage that lasted 41 years. Mr. Schwartz died in 1975. ??? Florence lived in Fort Worth the majority of her life, where she was a member of Congregation Ahavath Sholom for over 50 years and a member of Hadassah. ??? Her family was the most important part of her life. She will be missed deeply by all who knew and loved her. In addition to her husband and parents, Florence was preceded in death by her twin sister, Helen Kossover Schiff Miron, and her brother, Leon Kossover. ??? Survivors: Daughters, Esther Rae Schwartz Weinstein and her husband, Jay, and Marlene Schwartz Sternberg and her husband, Danny, all of Dallas; grandchildren, Bonnye Garman and her husband, Steve, Ric Weinstein and his wife, Cheryl, Anndi Hogan and her husband, Doug, Wendy Darrow and her husband, Larry, Randi Schneider and Todd Sternberg and his wife, Carrie; 13 great-grandchildren; three great-great-grandchildren; sister-in-law, Lillie Dwortz; and many nieces and nephews.
