Lee Nelson

October 27, 1956 - October 26, 2007

MANSFIELD -- Lee Edward Nelson, 50, passed away on Friday, Oct. 26, 2007, in Fort Worth. Memorials: In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made in Lee's name to the American Cancer Society. Lee was born in Warren, Ohio, on Oct. 27, 1956, the son of Dean and Shirley Nelson. He graduated from Lakeview High School in 1975 and was active in basketball, track and cross country. Lee was a veteran of the United States Marine Corps, serving from 1975 to 1979. Lee moved to Texas in 1985 and had been employed as a machinist for Martin Sprocket and Gear since that time. He was an avid hunter and fisherman and enjoyed playing sports. Survivors: Wife, Norma Valdez Nelson; stepchildren, Christina Gomez and Rosalinda Valdez; parents, Dean and Shirley Nelson; sisters, Deana, Lori and Amy Nelson; grandchildren, Jonathan and Evan Esquivel and Jacob, Jaden and Danica Gonzalez.
