Louis Flores Obituary - Visitation & Funeral Information

Louis Everett Flores went to be with his heavenly father on Friday Dec. 18, 2009 at the age of 82. It was a peaceful passing. Celebration of Life: Wednesday at 2p.m. at Milestone Church 801 Keller Parkway. Visitation: The family will receive friends from 5 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at Lucas Funeral Home 137 E. Hill Keller, Texas 76248. Louis was preceded in death by his mother and father, three brothers, Cecil, Ellis, and Willie, and one sister, Benita and one great-grandson. Survivors include his wife Aurora, two brothers, Joe of Knox City, Tom of Brush, CO., two sons, Louis Of Arlington, spouse Yolanda, and Joe of Rosharon, TX., two daughters, Betty of Keller, spouse Emilio, Ruth of Allen, spouse Wally, 10 grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren and 6 great-great-grandchildren. Louis was born to Cecilio Flores and Anita Everett on March 18, 1927 in Benjamin, Texas. Louis married his sweetheart, Aurora Acala, in June 1945. In his early years, Louis worked as a farmer in West Texas. Until his retirement from Allen ISD in 1 999, Louis worked as a custodial manager for more than 30 years. Upon his retirement, he returned to Abilene with his wife, Aurora, to enjoy gardening, home-improvement projects, and spending time with his friends and family. From an early age, Louis and Aurora attended church on a regular basis, serving God through volunteering their time and spreading God's love. They always had time to give to those in need. Louis' laugh was catching. He kept his wife, children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren happy and surrounded by his love. He will be missed, but the happy memories of "Welo" will always hold a special place in the hearts of those he loved most.
