HALTOM CITY -- Nicholas Wayne Kuykendall, 23, was killed Sunday, Sept. 23, 2007, in Haltom City. Funeral: 11 a.m. Friday at Bear Valley Community Church, 7900 Precinct Line Road, Colleyville. Interment: Bear Creek Memorial. Visitation: 5 to 7 p.m. Thursday at Lucas Funeral Home in Hurst. Nick was born in Bedford on March 13, 1984. After struggling through a troubled youth, he spent the last two years turning his life around. He was working for American Eagle Construction and saving to get married in April to the woman who put him on the right path. He had plans to buy a house, go to college, become a architect and then start a family. He had a tough exterior with a heart of gold and always said what was on his mind. He will forever be loved and remembered by a great many family and friends. He was preceded in death by his great-grandfather, Jess Waller; great-grandmother, Lucy Stowe of England; and his dearly loved great-grandmother, Pearle Waller. Survivors: His beloved fiancee, Taylor Cawthorne; mother, Diana Wilson; grandparents, J and Faith Waller; sisters, Michelle, Cheryl and Tawnya; stepbrother, James; aunt, Catherine and husband, Rick; aunt, Jessica and companion, David; 14 nieces and nephews; and cousins, Jake and wife, Tracy, and Curtis.
