December 12, 1915 - September 12, 2007
On December 12, 1915, old blue eyes was born to Marshall and Flora Boner. At an early age he became a provider for his Mother and siblings after the loss of his Father. He lived through the Great Depression, a time when people had very little, but as a boy he gave his all to help his family survive these enduring times. As he grew older he worked in the CC Camps and sent money home, a huge responsibility for a boy of only 16 years of age. Althought he didnt have a formal education he was wise beyond his years and gained much through living life. He was a well respected and an intelligent man, who could not resist a laugh, or joke, followed by his famous mischievous grin.As time carried on he married and soon Walda was born, then along came Renee, Lance, and then little Tamra Joy. Throughout his life he has taken pride in his children who in turn, shared many good times, bad times, love, and laughter together, as a family. As an adult he worked at Metal Goods as a crane operator. He was part of the Teamsters Union for 20 years of service and he retired from work at an early age. His big joke was that he beat the system and he enjoyed a long active retirement of 32 years. He also served many years as an Alderman for the city of Kimmswick. The changes he helped to implement are still appreciated by a grateful city today. He had many hobbies. He loved fixing up old cars, boating, fishing, and flirting with the pretty women. But, cars were his true love and there was not much he did not know about tearing one down (sometimes) putting it back together again. Although, at times, this involved some cussing and head-scratching until the solution was found. The family knew him to be a trend-setter and it is a little known fact that he was the first to wear his hat stylishly crooked with baggy pants.Throughout the years he was blessed with his grandchildren Iocie, Christina, Renee, Christopher, and Glenda. He also enjoyed his great grandchildren Brittany, Mohammad, Cadence Joy, and Kayla Jade. This man was truly rich, for he was and is loved by a wonderful family which includes his children, grandchildren, great grandchildren, his baby brother Carl, and many friends. He leaves with them a legacy containing many fond memories and the pride of having been blessed to have him in their lives. Our Father, Grandfather, Great Grandfather, brother, and friend will be greatly missed, but never lost, because he has given much to all of us which we hold in our hearts to give and to share with each passing generation. We honor his memory and thank GOD for his life which has touched us all. He will be remembered for his great sense of humor, boisterous and high spirited love of life, his charm, charisma, and most of all that grin that always left you smiling.
