ROUND ROCK -- Bryan Ray Burr took God's hand, left his wheelchair behind and walked into heaven on Friday, July 9, 2010. Celebration of life: A celebration of Bryan's life will be held at 2 p.m. Tuesday in Lucas Sylvania Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Dennis Baw, pastor of Glenview Baptist Church, officiating. Interment: Following a committal service, Bryan will be laid to rest in Birdville Cemetery. Visitation: The family will receive friends 6 to 8 p.m. Monday at Lucas Sylvania Funeral Home. Memorials: Instead of flowers, the family respectfully urges friends who desire to honor Bryan's memory with contributions in his name to R.O.C.K. Ride on Center For Kids, 2050 CR 110, Georgetown, Texas 78626, 512-930-7625. On Dec. 13, 1985, our very special little boy arrived on this earth. Bryan taught us and the people who knew him the true meaning of unconditional love. He never met a stranger and always offered an outstretched hand as his way of saying "hi." He loved riding his favorite horse, Shandy, at R.O.C.K. He was a gold medal Special Olympian in bowling and loved making all of his coaches smile. Bryan loved adventure and experienced as much as he possibly could. He played with monkeys in a Honduras rainforest and was an honorary member of the Young Eagles Club for junior pilots. There was never a ride too scary for him at any theme park and the smile on his face while riding was priceless. He was a 2007 graduate of Stony Point High School in Round Rock. He was also a member of the Round Rock Roadrunners and Hill Country Stars. In this life there were many things he couldn't do. However, today in heaven he is running, laughing, talking and singing with not only God but with his Papa Brad, Grandma Roxie, Nanaw Burr, Carrie and many of his other close friends. Bryan was preceded in death by his great-grandmother, Roxie Angle; grandfather, Louis H. Bradshaw; and grandmother, Wilma Burr. Survivors: Loving parents, Buddy and Ginger Burr; sister and brother-in-law, Brandi Burr-Boles and Jason; niece, Madison Boles; grandmother, Bobbie Bradshaw; grandfather, Raymond O. Burr; uncles; aunts; and special friends, John and Sher.
