GRAPEVINE -- Jane Waldron Noll, 92, passed away very peacefully in her sleep Tuesday morning, Nov. 4, 2008. Funeral: 11 a.m. Monday at Heritage United Methodist Church, 4344 Heritage Ave., Grapevine. Her pastor, the Rev. Randall B. Scrivener, will officiate. Following the service, she will be laid to rest with family members in Greenwood Memorial Park. Visitation: Jane's family will receive friends 4 to 5 p.m. Sunday in the Great Room at Robertson Mueller Harper; she will lie in state 10 to 11 a.m. Monday at the church. Bearers of her casket will be her nephew, Bill Barnes; great-nephews, Craig Barnes, David Barnes and Clint Rosenthal; and former students, Larry Small and Stan Standridge. Memorials: Consideration of contributions to Heritage United Methodist Church or to the Union Gospel Mission, in Jane's memory, is suggested. Born in Paris on Oct. 1, 1916, Jane was the daughter of Arthur Branch and Ethel Thompson Waldron. She graduated with a teaching degree from North Texas State Teachers College and earned her master's degree from Greeley Colorado College. Jane taught at Morningside, George Clarke, Riverside and other schools in the Fort Worth Independent School District until her retirement. She loved her interaction with her students and continued to check on their accomplishments through the years. In her retirement, she enjoyed traveling throughout the world with her sisters and family. Selling Avon products, bowling, watching the Dallas Cowboys and her church family, were other strong interests. Jane was always involved in family activities and had many friends. Her family wishes to express special thanks to Tina Moore and Carlita Goure, her caregiver. Survivors: She is survived by her daughter, Sue Noll of Baker, Mont.; nephew, Dr. Bill Barnes and his wife, Sandy, of Fort Worth; niece, Sue Barnes Caldwell of Fort Worth; great-niece, Elizabeth Caldwell Rosenthal and her husband, Clint; great-nephew, Craig Barnes and his wife, Tammye and their children, Grant and Carlie; and great-nephew, David Barnes.
